The Root Of The Affair

10/01/2006
Jackie Wearing's wonders how a man would cope with the gift of a woman's total love.
If she wrote she loved you in every
Colour under the sun. Stole you
Every piece of foolery and
All the Olympian godlike fun.
Was extravagant in praise;
As she can be in love;
Said - jewel of the world - matchless man
Mixed an anger that would bite you
With smooth pleasured gaiety as one,
Would you hold like a one time charger,
Or would you up and run?
